The ship was built in Chile to the latest Polar Code specifications, a new modern expedition vessel specifically designed for Antarctic air-cruises.
This vessel can carry up to 73 passengers accommodated in seven cabin categories. All cabins feature a wardrobe, individually controlled heating system, a sitting area, a private bathroom with shower. Except for Porthole cabins, they will also feature private balconies.
The ship features a glass-enclosed observation lounge and presentation room with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, a spacious and stylish dining room, a well-stocked bar, a library, a meeting room, a gym, a sauna, and a medical clinic.
Magellan Explorer has a fleet of ten Zodiac boats well suited for disembarking and wildlife watching. Travellers can also go on the forward-facing observation deck that leads to the bow of the ship and appreciate stunning views of the sea and wildlife.
