Your morning is at leisure to further explore Santiago before transferring to the HX group hotel for a final night in the city, where you will meet the other guests travelling on the MS Fram. (B)

Fly to Punta Arenas to board the MS Fram. Take in the stunning scenery as the ship sails towards the Falkland Islands through the Strait of Magellan. Join your expedition team in the onboard Science Centre to listen to lectures and participate in Citizen Science Projects. (B,L,D)

At various times during your 22-day cruise, you will have the privilege of a private bridge tour and private Q&A session with the expedition team, which will be arranged at appropiate moments depending on the ship's schedule (subject to sailing conditions).

The remote, rugged, wildlife-rich Falkland Islands archipelago is made of 700+ islands with white-sand beaches, rocky crags and untouched landscapes, teeming with birdlife. Enjoy a community walk od Stanley, taking in historic monuments and memorials, including the Historic Dockyard Museum. (B,L,D)

Navigate towards South Georgia, known as the 'Galápagos of the Poles'. (B,L,D)

Nicknamed the ‘Serengeti of the Southern Ocean’ due to its abundant wildlife, South Georgia also boasts spectacular scenery. 

Uniquely positioned inside the Antarctic ecosystem yet outside the reach of sea ice, South Georgia is an ideal home for thousands of breeding penguins and seals. There are notable populations of king penguins who prefer the warmer weather here than their emperor cousins in Antarctica. You can also spot other seabirds including including albatross, penguins, petrels, shags, skuas and terns. (B,L,D)

Navigate towards the main event of your expedition - Antarctica. Enjoy lectures and presentations from your expedition team, covering polar explorer history, the unique environmental and, of course, the wildlife of the region. (B,L,D)
