Named after the Australian polar explorer and founder of the company, the Greg Mortimer is 104-metre purpose-built Expedition ship featuring a state of the art ‘x-bow design’ which has a piercing effect on smaller waves, making for a smoother voyage. Accommodating on average 130 passengers on all voyages, Greg Mortimer has one of the smallest capacities in expedition cruising which makes for a truly intimate experience.
All staterooms have private bathrooms, personal storage options, twin and double-bed configuration options, ample storage, international power outlets and a daily cabin service, as well as a range of amenities. Some of the rooms also offer floor to ceiling windows and balconies.
The ship has a wide range of dedicated observation points including an indoor 180-degree lounge, a 360-degree open deck and two hydraulic viewing platforms. Meals are served in the large restaurant with family-style dining. Other facilities include two bars/lounges with floor to ceiling windows, a library with books and maps, a mud room and a Wellness Centre complete with gym equipment, sauna and spa.
