M/S Quest is a comfortable expedition ship with a wonderful crew.
In 2004/2005, the ship went through a complete refurbishment, followed by a renovation of the passenger areas in 2018. She can take up to 53 passengers in 26 cabins.
Each cabin has a window and private facilities: the triple cabins have upper and lower berths. All other cabins have two lower berths or a double bed. In your cabin, you will find a desk with a chair and a cupboard for storage. The superior cabins are spacious and have armchairs and TV. The owner’s cabin has a double bed, two large picture windows, a separate seating area and TV.
The dining room offers delicious meals where you can enjoy breath-taking views of the surroundings. In the panorama lounge, you will receive lectures about the flora, fauna and history by their experienced crew. It also has a bar as well as a small library.
Passengers are welcome on the bridge; the ship has spacious observation decks where you can take advantage of the beautiful views. The expedition team provides five Zodiacs with five guides on board. The international crew will welcome you in a relaxed and very friendly atmosphere.
Polar Specialist Ben Rowley says; "With just 53 guests onboard, MS Quest is one of the smallest ships operating in Svalbard. It bridges the gap nicely between the 12 passenger ships and the 100 plus. Cabins are small and the facilities are simple when compared to some of the new luxurious ships now, but the ship’s charm and ice capabilities draw a host of return guests every year. My favourite part is the panorama lounge on the top deck, offering 270-degree views of Svalbard’s majestic wildlife and scenery."
