Build in Bergen in 1964 for the Norwegian Government, M/S Sjøveien is a classic ship with a modern touch.
She was used to training mariners between 1979 and 1995 before being in private ownership and turn into a hotel ship. She was then refurbished into an exclusive passenger ship, starting her career in Svalbard the summer of 2017.
The ship has plenty of space on the main deck with classic details, and from where you can have wonderful views of the scenery. You will also find a wood-fired hot tub out on the deck. She will accommodate a maximum of 12 passengers in eight outside cabins with private facilities.
The dining area is located on the main deck, travellers can enjoy delicious meals as well as relax with a cup of tea and coffee while listening to the guides’ lectures.
The international crew is very knowledgeable and friendly. They will share with you their passion for wildlife and the Arctic’s pristine nature.
