Inheriting a family enthusiasm for travel, Caroline has spent most of her adult life striving to reach out to the far corners of the world, whether through working, volunteering or on holiday. She has accrued a vast range of experiences, from helping to build a school in Cambodia to setting foot on the far-flung Solomon Islands.
Having achieved a degree in Travel Management and Spanish, Caroline was well placed from the beginning of her professional career in the travel industry to develop expertise in sales and on-site product development, specialising in Latin America and Antarctica. Over a period of 20 years in the industry, she has combined comprehensive exploration of the continents with niche enthusiasms and skills in adventure pursuits such as kayaking, rafting, horse-riding, skiing and hiking in spectacularly beautiful mountain, desert and glacial landscapes.
Also, Caroline's unabated love of exploration, and Antarctica in particular, has led her to acquire further qualifications in polar expedition guide training in challenging wilderness settings on land and sea.
Caroline's Top Tips
Take the plunge into the icy waters of Antarctica. It is certainly ultra-exhilarating and something you won’t forget in a hurry. It’s also bound to inspire admiration from your friends! Gliding through this breathtaking scenery takes some beating but my top magical moment perhaps is when 30 humpback whales played around and dived under my zodiac in Orne Bay.
