Gaynor's Top Tips
Do your research on the different ships offered to make sure it's the right one for you - smaller is better to experience a true expedition style (150/200 guests)
Be flexible and open-minded on an expedition cruise - sometimes not everything goes to plan, expedition cruises don't have set itineraries, as so much of it can be affected by weather and where the wildlife is. The expedition teams on board are always flexible, ensuring you are always going to experience something amazing!
My Favourite Polar Experience
'On our first day on the Antarctic Peninsula, we had a very up close viewing of a Leopard seal who was very calm, swimming between the Zodiacs. We think he thought the boat was a lady seal! Amazing photographs were taken and an experience that will sit with me for a very long time!.'
What Do You Recommend Taking With You On A Polar Cruise?
An adventurous spirit and a good camera!
Where To Next And Why?
Svalbard - I want to see the amazing Polar Bears in their natural habitat
